Philadelphia Community Newspapers
It is possible to create genuine community newspapers. Philadelphia is quickly loosing its community newspapers that were not really serving the areas that they claimed they were serving anyway. There are an overwhelming number of people living in neighborhoods that want information disseminated and there are organizations that will get on board to help support it. I operated a better model of a community newspaper for 6 years in California and I would like to begin a conversation about it. I have a background in community organizing and community newspapers.
